Call for Position PapersServices Sciences, Management and EngineeringEducation for the 21st CenturyIntroduction
Many universities around the world are developing new services-oriented courses and curricula; others are expanding their existing focus on services. But a significant effort is still needed to develop a truly cross-disciplinary approach to SSME. IBM will host a conference to share information on the current status of SSME and to foster its advancement and development October 5 – 7, 2006 in New York. Our goals are to:
ProgramThis two day conference will include plenary sessions, paper presentations, and a poster session.AttendanceA position paper is required from each institution that wishes to participate in the conference. Because attendance is limited, we may only be able to invite a subset from any one institution. An institution may submit more than one position paper.Papers should be no longer than four double-column pages (including reference and figures). Papers must be submitted by 5:00 PM EST on July 1, 2006. Submissions – in portable document formation (PDF) – should be mailed to ssme@us.ibm.com. CommunicationsAll accepted position papers will be made available on our web site prior to the conference.Date and LocationThe conference will begin with a reception on October 5 at 6:00 PM EST and end at 12:00 PM EST on October 7, 2006. It will be held at IBM Palisades Conference Center, New York.Fees and ExpensesThere will be no registration fee. Attendees will be responsible for their own air travel, ground transportation, lodging, and other individual expenses.
