Abstract:
This talk will analyze how technological innovation, changes in customer demand, financial pressures and other factors are changing the practice of law and challenging the traditional law firm economic model. It will also examine strategies and tactics for law firms to provide greater value to on demand enterprises and develop more rewarding and sustainable business models.

Biography
Steve Berson is a corporate partner in the Palo Alto office of Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati. His practice focuses on the formation and financing of technology and emerging growth companies, public offerings, public company representation and mergers and acquisitions. Steve regularly advises clients on a broad range of corporate and securities law issues, including SEC disclosure and compliance, corporate governance, corporate partnering, executive compensation and related matters. He also represents investment banking firms, venture investors and issuers in a wide variety of capital market transactions, mergers and acquisitions and strategic relationships. During his career, Steve has been involved in more than 100 public offerings and numerous private securities and other transactions for issuers in various industries.

Steve received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his law degree from Vanderbilt University. He is a member of the New York, California and U.S. Supreme Court bars.
