or many people, even experienced net heads, finding a specific image on the web can be frustrating. Not anymore. Within IBM Research's Computer Science department, the Visual Media Management group develops technologies and applications for content-based image and video search which enable users to find exactly what they are looking for.

The web and our world have become increasingly focused on the visual image.

Through our Grand Central application, we have created virtual bloodhounds which will identify and locate desired information. This solution will enable web travellers to complete their tasks with greater efficiencies of time. We recognize that the web and our world have become increasingly focused on the visual image. The Visual Media Management and Cybernetic team is committed to exploring new possibilities in the realm of visual media.
