FastTrak

FastTrak is a transponder mounted on a card that is placed in the dash of your car. When going through a toll gate on a toll road, the transponder is energized by radio waves sent from overhead sensors in the toll gate. The FastTrak system recognizes your card and automatically debits your account--no more stopping at toll booths, helping clear traffic congestion.

Gas Robots

By placing a transponder in the flap of a gas cap a robotic gas pump is able to locate the cap, unscrew it and fill the tank quicker than a conventional pump and without spilling a drop of gasoline. Since the customer never has to leave the vehicle, it is useful for people who live in harsh climates or where personal safety is a concern. This system is currently being used in Sacramento, CA and Sweden.
