Still Images
Still images are stored in the computer by
dividing the image into small tiles or "pixels"
(picture element) and storing each tile or pixel as a bit
sequence.

Higher resolution
means the image is represented by many parts (at a higher
density)
Lower resolution
means the same image is represented using fewer component parts
(at a lower density), reducing the amount of space needed to
store the image in a computer.
