IBM recently released jCentral, a free and easy-to-use Web-based service that allows Java programmers to run multi-tiered searches for source code, applets, beans, code strings, tutorials, documentation, and other Java resources.

Users can enter a broad search under a keyword--say, "security"--and get back an assortment of source code and bytecode references, along with links to newsgroup postings and company white papers.
