I'm an advisory software engineer at the IBM Almaden Research Center in San Jose, CA. I graduated (MS, CS) from the Royal Institude of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden in 1997 after having completed my master's project at the DataLab, UC Irvine. Immediately after graduation, I was offered a 6 month temporary position in the Exploratory Database Systems Departement at IBM Almaden. After spending some time developing Java solutions for DB2 UDB, I decided to accept an offer as a research associated in the Web Technologies department in 1998. In this group, I've had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, for instance smart electronic calendars, location based services and remote atom manipulation . Currently, I am in the Knowledge Management Middleware and Technology Department assisting Lotus with the design and implementation of their next generation email and calendaring solutions. I'm also involved in the content management projects at Almaden.

My research interests include: Application architectures, databases, XML, Java and data mining.
