I manage
Human Systems Research
in
the Almaden Services Research
group at the IBM Almaden
Research
Center. One of my recent topics of interest has been how to
learn about computer system administrators do their jobs so that
we can develop tools and interfaces that are best adapted to
their needs and practices (see my
projects page).
Previously, I was in the User Group at
Almaden, where I worked on WBI,
an
implemented framework for adding intermediary functions to the
World Wide Web, and Suitor,
a prototype of an attentive user interface.
