Abstract
The Interval University Workshop sponsored selected schools interested in establishing interaction design courses. This presentation will describe and highlight interactive selections of work prototyped by students from different programs across the world.
This program is in its eighth year of producing stimulating and newprototype concepts and ideas. It has successfully facilitated the creation of interdisciplinary design courses as part of core curriculums in design, computing, engineering, and cognitive psychology.
The student projects show a range of hardware and software design concept designs of computer interaction that address new form factors, new functions, as well as new uses of future computers. Each year shows a different topic challenge, but all emphasize different aspects of design for portable, wearable, media-based and ubiquitous 'computing'.
