Cross-cultural Issues in Global Software Outsourcing

Abstract:
Cross-cultural working is an increasing feature of our more globalized world, but problems can occur due to differing norms, values, attitudes and styles of working. Such issues will be discussed using illustrations from a research study of software outsourcing from Japan to India. Some implications for cross-cultural practice will be presented.
