95138 (Telephone number 408-972-7800). Complimentary Shuttle Service will
be provided from the hotel to the conference site, the IBM Almaden Research
Center.
The Holiday Inn provides complimentary Shuttle Service
to and from the San Jose airport. Pickup can be requested once you arrive
at the airport by calling (408) 972-7800. Door-to-door airport shuttle
service from the San Francisco airport is available from South and East
Bay Shuttle Service. The rate is $32 per person ($5.00 for each additional
person). The shuttle departs every 15 minutes. For pick up call (800)

Out-of-town conference participants and speakers must
reserve their hotel rooms with a personal credit card by calling the
hotel at (408) 972-7800. To receive the conference rate of $109.00 per
night, please reference the IBM Almaden Institute. There are a limited
number of rooms and lodging can be difficult to obtain in the Silicon
Valley, so please make your reservations early. The
block of rooms for the Almaden Institute will be released to the public
on March 25, 2002.
Holiday Inn, Silicon Valley hotel guests, will NOT
need an automobile during the conference. All meals from Wednesday through
Friday will be provided at the Almaden Research Center. Ground transportation
will also be provided for out-of-town guests to the dinner at the Mountain
Winery the evening of April 11, 2002.
Travel Reimbursement:
Out-of-town Non-IBM speakers: if IBM has offered to reimburse you for
travel expenses, please make the reservations on your credit card and
save the receipts for reimbursement. You will receive a NON-IBM Travel
Reimbursement form in your registration packet with directions on how
to receive reimbursement, upon your arrival.
