Biography
Phani Aetukuri is a Materials Science Graduate student at Stanford University. As part of his research with SpinAps at Almaden, he plans to grow Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) and understand the tunnel barrier thickness and voltage dependence of Tunneling Magneto-resistance (TMR). Further, he plans to use X-ray Characterization to correlate surface properties and in-plane epitaxy of MTJs to their TMR.

Before coming to Stanford and IBM, Phani earned a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India.
