Biography
Guenole Jan is a Ph.D. graduate student in the Physics department of Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. He joined the IBM Almaden Research Center in the spring of 2003. Guenole is studying the growth and magneto-transport properties of oxide heterostructures prepared by pulsed-laser deposition (PLD) after helping to set up the new multi-chamber PLD-TEON deposition system in Stuart Parkin's laboratory.

A native of Rennes, Brittany in France, Jan earned two Physics degrees at the Ecole Nationale Superieure de Physique in Grenoble, France.
