CPIMA Summer Student Program

IBM Almaden Research Center

Stipends are available for a 10 week program of research for undergraduates in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, physics and related fields. Support for this comes from the NSF Materials Research Science and Engineering Center on Polymer Interfaces and Macromolecular Assemblies which involves Stanford University, IBM Almaden, and the University of California at Davis. Undergraduates (sophomores and juniors primarily) work on research projects with scientists at the three sites and participate in a technical symposium. Some of the educational outreach involves projects at The Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose.
