IBM Research Internships

The IBM Research Internship Awards program was established to promote diversity and develop access to a larger and more diverse group of outstanding candidates. They are awarded, with an IBM title, through established organizations, organizations which are already dedicated to increasing the number of women and underrepresented minorities entering technical careers.

• Award:
  • Paid summer internship at IBM Research
  • Assignment of mentor from ARC
  • Renewable for a second year with reapplication
• Eligibility:
  • Students completing sophomore or junior year in a 4 year degree program
  • Majoring in chemistry, physics, materials science or engineering, computer science or engineering, chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering
  • Other criteria - woman, Black, Hispanic, or Native American
  • Second year renewal contingent on maintaining grades and major field
